Humbug

I'm sitting in the basement of Dog's Den doggy daycare center. The dogs are quiet at the moment. Too quiet. There are a lot of them here. On the couch next to me is Quebec, a grayhound too big for any of our crates. In a metal crate on the floor, growling, is Roscoe, a pitbull. Sweet, but not allowed to play with the other dogs, for fear that he'll kill them. Pacing around, whining, now nudging me, is Nevaio, a very fat yellow lab I had to take out of his crate because he wouldn't stop crying. I've blocked off this part of the basement with a chair, so the two dogs loose in here won't wander into the room where about 50 other dogs are now either sleeping or plotting. One of them's crying now. This will be a long night. Longer than even last night, which was very long. For some reason, there's not much work for me to do tonight, which is an improvement. Last night, there was really only laundry to do, but there was a lot of it, and it's time consuming.

Fascinating. My job is fascinating. A bad job, but not quite bad enough to make for interesting reading.

What else? Nothing, I guess. I switched back to blogspot, for the time being, as I got a new computer and can't be bothered to get everything set up again. Also fascinating. Whatever. At least I'm trying.

Merry Christmas.
